OCD Insight through Your Dog’s Tail-Chasing

19th July, 2014
Have you ever seen a dog so completely obsessed with chasing his own tail that it seems as though the entire outside world has ceased to exist for him?* Pretty much every dog chases his own tail from time to time, but dogs that display obsessive tail-chasing might just be helping to shed some light on our own human obsessions. Because dog obsession and human obsession are very similar in nature, doctors are studying what exactly causes obsession in pups in the hopes it might reveal some secrets about the same obsessions in humans. Obsessive-compulsive behavior is more common in dogs of specific breeds. German shepherds, Doberman pinschers, and bull terriers, for example, are far more likely to develop OCD than other dogs. Doctors looked into the genetics of these animals searching for specific gene variants that might explain the origin of the behavior. What they found was for specific genetic variations that are present in OCD dogs but not in others. The research has led scientists to hypothesize that people suffering from OCD have a short-circuit in the connections between brain cells which makes it harder for the brain to judge a task complete. Doctors hope that the insight gained from this study will help power new breakthroughs in the diagnosis and treatment of OCD in humans. (*Of course you have! But if you haven’t, here’s a compilation of dogs doing just that, chasing their own tails. Be careful, though, because if you have OCD, watching YouTube videos can go on, and on, and on…)   OCD Insight through Your Dog’s Tail-Chasing обновлено: January 25, 2017 автором: admin_1

I used this product for my Boston last summer. Worked awesome. In 2 days, I've seen a improvement. Within 4 days, the infection was gone. My pit bull started having an issue with his right ear. It was bad. It was so infected. I used EcoEars twice a day and again it worked like magic!! 4 days have passed and you can't even tell he had an ear issue!! I will never use anything else. This stuff is fantastic!! Thank you Vet Organics for such an amazing product!!
