Of course there are plenty of medicines out there, but there are also many natural remedies that you can try in the comfort of your home. 1. EcoSpot

Made with all-natural ingredients, EcoSpot is a great targeted solution. 3. St. John’s Wort (Hypericum)

Combine St. John’s Wort with Calendula to help reduce pain and inflammation. You can mix Hypericum and Calendula tincture, dilute it with water and voila, you have a powerful antibacterial wash. This mixture is called HyperCal and is very relieving when it comes to hot spots. To make the mix, you will need to have about 12 to 15 drops of Hypericum and Calendula tinctures to one cup of warm water. You can use this as often as needed to keep the area clean and also help to reduce itching. Always remember to dry the area using a clean cloth once you’re done cleaning. 4 "I need some antibacterial help!"

4. Coconut Oil

Probably the easiest to find in your local store, coconut oil has a great deal of anti-fungal properties and can be useful when used topically or internally. Coconut oil is a great home treatment especially when your dog has a tendency to suffer from yeast infections. All you have to do is add a little coconut oil to the pet’s diet. But don’t forget to alternate! For instance, you can feed the dog Coconut oil one day and then Omega-3 oils the next day. Alternatively, you could also give your dog or cat a teaspoon of coconut oil per 10 pounds of weight. 5 Coconut oil is a great remedy for many things and can help fight off hot spots when included in your pet's diet.
